I’m Shannon from AKA Design.
I’m honored to be here on the Hello Yellow Blog with our rustic, industrial Christmas dining room.
Our dining room is a bit of a mish mash of styles and furniture.
Eclectic if you will.
But the central piece that ties the whole rustic industrial look together is the Leon’s Urban Splendor Dining Table. Just look at the A-frame detail.
When I was putting this Christmas dining room together, I started by layering a textured “centerpiece” on the dining room table.
Turned wood candle stands topped with creamy white candles, faux birch logs and birch log candles, log slices, bottle brush trees and giant red lanterns.
Each place setting has a rattan charger topped by a variety of white dishes.
And the white dishes are topped with mini rosemary wreath place cards, which were a simple and inexpensive DIY.
To make the place cards you will need rosemary sprigs, twine or jute and scissors. Plus some light weight card stock, a printer, this place card template and a marker.
Step 1. Curve a sprig of rosemary around into a circle. You may have to snap the sprig a little to get it into a smooth circle, just be careful not to break it all the way through.
Step 2. Tie with a twine or jute bow. Repeat for as many place cards as you need.
Step 3. Print and cut out enough place cards from this place card template. Write one guest’s name on each place card and place one on top of each rosemary wreath.
Didn’t I tell you it was an easy little project?
Well that’s it for our rustic industrial Christmas dining room.
Thank you so much for visiting!
